Hello, I'm Carly!
I’m a UX Designer based in the Eastern US.
I have a BFA in Graphic Interaction & Communication Design and I’m passionate about accessibility in design and healthcare.
I've worked with consumer products at Hasbro using research provided by Product Designers to design toy packaging, and the consumer’s first experience opening these toys.
I also have experience in roles as a Resident Assistant and Teaching Assistant where I developed skills in listening and using empathy to understand who I’m helping and why.
How I use Artificial Intelligence:
Prompt Engineering & Prototyping
I used the AI programs Anything (previously called Create.xyz) and Lovable to quickly bring a Pharmacy Kiosk concept to life as a clickable prototype.
Research Storyboarding
I used the AI program Microsoft Designer to quickly come up with storyboard images for a healthcare project. This saved me time from having to search for stock photos online or having to sketch them. I couldn't just take the photos myself due to HIPPA privacy laws.
For Branding & Concepting
My team at Hasbro used Adobe Firefly for supplementing images for moodboards and for quickly trying out multiple visual styles that we then use in early testing with users. We may pass these along to illustrators we hire so they have an idea of what we’re looking for. We do not use any AI imagery for our final branding or packaging art, we always hired professional illustrators and only used AI for sharing ideas.
Packaging Design (Generative fill)
At Hasbro, I used Adobe Firefly for temporary image editing when the size of a package became larger and the previous illustrated background was too small. I arranged it on the new dimensions, and used generative fill to temporarily fill that extra space. I sent that file to the illustrator so he knows how much to add to his original image and he understands what we plan to do visually (such as placement of specific visual elements).
